Touchscreen Industry to Reach $9 Billion

A new DisplaySearch report mentioned in the EE Times is predicting that touchsceen sales will hit $9 billion by 2015. This means an aggressive 14% rate of growth from the $3.6 billion last year.

A recent Wall Street Journal article continues a long-running debate over how to properly describe our industry: touchscreen, touch screen or touch-screen.

Wikipedia has–after much debate–decided the one word, ‘touchscreen’, is the best option. The WSJ is hyphenating, but plenty of others (like Elo) use two words.
